In winter/spring 2024 the Landestheater Linz is planning a production together with the Polish choreographer Maciej Kuzminski. This is the occasion to bring into play also Tadeusz Kantor, the heart of the Cricot 2 Theatre in Krakow (1955–1990). This work in progress, curated (among others) by Monika Leisch-Kiesl, will presumably also include an exhibition in the Francisco Carolinum (Landeskultur Gmbh Linz [Museum of Upper Austria]).
So, I decided to also involve my Institute of History and Theory of Art (KU Linz) to prepare some scientific context for this exciting event!
Topics of the seminar: the multidisciplinary art of Tadeusz Kantor, the Cricot 2 Theatre in Krakow, comparable projects as well as relationships within (Eastern and Western) Europe during the period of 1945–1990.
The international format of the course guarantees an excellent platform for exchange between students from different countries of "eastern" and "western" regions!
